Explained: Site Scores

In this article, we’ll take you through what site scores are, what they’re made up of and how they’re calculated.

What are site scores?

Every day, each site receives a score that is based on how the tasks within that site are completed. There are 3 task statuses that contribute to the overall score:

🟢 Completed on time

🟧 Completed overdue

🔺 Incomplete

Site scores are displayed as a weekly total within the app and show the score to date. Only management (Site Admins & Org Admins) can view site scores within the mobile app. To view site scores, swipe right on the main feed to open the left side bar, ensure that you are in the correct site (this will be highlighted & green), then click Site Score.

Our site score reports are colour-blind-friendly for the 3 million people in the UK who are colour blind. Although we display the daily score bar in the colours green, orange and red to display the breakdown of the 3 task statuses, we also break it down using shapes. To view this, simply click on any day to open up the breakdown of tasks from that day.

You can also view the tasks from that day directly through daily score bar by clicking View Tasks. This will open up a read-only breakdown of the tasks from that day in which you can also view and add comments.

How are site scores calculated?

Weekly site scores are calculated out of 100 by adding up the points earned from all tasks (considering their completion status) and then dividing this total by the number of tasks. The scores for each of the 3 statuses are as follows:

100 – Completed on time

50 - Completed overdue

0 – Incomplete

🟢 Completed on time tasks are those that are completed before their due time. E.g. if your site opens at 09:00 and Opening Procedures are due at 11:00 then if they are completed at any point between 09:00 and 11:00 they will be classed as completed on time.

🟧 Completed overdue tasks are those that are completed after the time that they are due but before you lock up for the day. The final cut off for these tasks to be completed before being classed as incomplete is up to 2hrs after your final time slot of the day. E.g. if your Closing Procedures are due by the end of your final time slot of the day, say After Close (02:00), then you have until 04:00 to complete them before they are classed as incomplete.

🔺 Incomplete tasks are those that are either not completed at all or are completed more than 2hrs after your final time slot of the day. E.g. you didn’t do the stock checks when you were supposed to yesterday and instead doit in the morning the next day, you can complete these however they will be scored 0.

How are scores reported?

Scores are updated daily to incorporate the previous days score into the overall weekly score. The score from the previous day will be added to the weekly score2hrs after the final time slot for the day. This way, your weekly score in the current week always represents your average score for the week so far.

  • Scores of 90 and above are displayed as green
  • Scores of 76 - 89 are displayed as orange
  • Scores of 75 and below are displayed as red

You can also see the change in the score from last week in the top right corner of the number, represented as either a + or a depending on the change.

What if we are closed on a certain day?

Closed days do not contribute to the overall weekly score and are therefore excluded. If you are closed for a specific reason e.g. Christmas then if you simply change the day to ‘Closed All Day’ in Site Management à Edit and then simply untick the box again once that day has passed then this day will be excluded from the site score for that week.

We appreciate that it’s great for site managers to quickly view their site scores on the mobile app, however it’d also be great if you could compare scores across sites easily. We’re working on it…here’s what it’ll look like on the management web portal, with Org & Site Admins given a breakdown of all the sites they are assigned to:
