In this article, we’ll run through some of the lesser known but highly impactful features of the aquaint app that can be used to improve daily operations at your hospitality venue.
Instantly inform your staff of any weekly or monthly specials.
How to Use:
1. Click the + button and select Announcement.
2. Title it ‘Weekly Specials’ and list the new dishes in the content box.
3. Optionally, add images of each dish.
4. Click Announce.
The announcement will remain at the top of all your colleagues’ notifications until they click on it. Once they’ve clicked on it, you’ll be able to see when they viewed it in the historical announcement.
Only managers (Site Admins) can send out announcements.

Quickly view how many items have been reported within a completed checklist and easily investigate them further.
How to Use:
1. Navigate to the Completed tasks section at the bottom of the main feed.
2. Click on a Reported Item to view the reason, reporter, and last updated time.

Instead of reading prep lists from greasy till roll, quickly add and assign lists on our app. Ensure that your team are properly informed on what they need to do on the day and save yourselves the pain of lost or incomprehensible written notes.
How to Use:
1. Click the + button and select Create Task.
2. Title it ‘Prep List’ and assign it to your team.
3. Select the priority and due time.
4. Add the prep list as checklist items.
5. Press Create Task.
Easily navigate to previous or future dates to view and complete tasks.
How to Use:
1. Click the < > arrows on either side of Today to navigate to nearby dates.
2. Click on Today to bring up the date navigation popup and scroll to the required date.

Quickly inform all staff of out-of-stock items by announcing your 86’s through our app.
How to Use:
1. Click the + button and select Announcement.
2. Title it appropriately and list the out-of-stock items in the content box.
3. Optionally, add images.
4. Click Announce.
The announcement will remain at the top of all your colleagues’ notifications until they click on it. Once they’ve clicked on it, you’ll be able to see when they viewed it in the historical announcement.

How to Use:
1. Click the + button and select Create Task.
2. Title it ‘Handover Notes’ and assign it to the incoming team.
3. Select the priority and due time (ideally the end of the next team's shift).
4. Add the handover list as checklist items.
5. Press Create Task.

Quickly find out who else is assigned to your tasks, whether there are any additional steps to complete it and who has assigned it you.
How to Use:
1. Click the i icon on the task to find additional information.
2. View the list of assignees and any additional task steps.

Instead of sending out team broadcasts via WhatsApp, send them out via our Announcement feature instead. Our GDPR-compliant way of communicating with your team lets you know whether your colleagues have read your message and when.
How to Use:
1. Click the + button in the mobile app and select Announcement.
2. Click on the Historical Records Button and view the announcement you wish to track.
3. See who has received and read the message, and when.

Show customers with allergens what they can eat instantly, without having to run to the kitchen for the matrix.
How to Use:
1. From the main feed, swipe right to open the sidebar.
2. Click on Allergens to open the menu items at your site.
3. Click on Filter and de-select the allergens that the customer is allergic to, then press Apply.
4. View only the menu items that do not contain the de-selected allergens.

Edit temperature logs for up to 24 hours to correct any mistakes.
How to Use:
1. Swipe right from the main feed to open the side bar.
2. Click on Temperature Logs and swipe left on the log you want to edit to reveal the Edit button.
3. Alternatively, click the + button, select Add Log, navigate to the temperature record form, and use the Historical Record Button to edit.
